I was at a bar in Fells once and ordered my standard vodka/diet coke. The bartender looked disappointed and said I seemed like the type of person who would order something else, like an Old Fashioned. I didn’t know what that meant and I didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of changing my drink order, so I stuck to my ~basic~ drink.

I waited until another time at a completely different bar to try an Old Fashioned—and dang, I liked it! I still don’t know what that says about me.

This is technically a repeat cocktail but we got a channel knife and I was excited to do the orange twist. 🙂
