My dad retired from the Foreign Service to become a Gentleman of Leisure (he literally had business cards printed with that title). As a gag retirement gift, his co-workers got him a gaudy loungin’ robe (for maximum leisure) with the State Department seal embroidered on it. He gave it to me (no idea why he didn’t want it 😝); I’ve been wearing it unironically but it’s getting a little worn out. Obviously I’m not gonna just throw it out so I made it into a journal. 😄
