Welp I started a commonplace book, noted some quotes for like a week, and then it just became a brick in my purse. Turns out I don’t really feel a need to write quotes down—if something strikes me, I just put it in my regular journal—so this mostly ended up being a very fancy grocery list book.

I tried to ~ make it work ~ by writing down interesting quotes I read in books, but I literally never referred back to them. I guess in this day and age when you can look everything up, it seems less critical to collect your own faves (and/or you can highlight them in your Kindle).

Perhaps I’m just not a very deep thinker. 🙂
