Poem a Day, Day 5
Today's NaPoWriMo prompt was to to write a poem about a mythical person or creature doing something unusual. Bren (my creative director) suggested "when dragons go bowling." I wrote this for JP (when she's old enough to understand English). When dragons go bowling they play in Tornado Alley They use the flat plains for lanes and the gutters are valleys When dragons go bowling they bring their own shoes in specialty sizes from giant to huge When dragons go bowling They roll magma into a ball roll towards the mountain tops oh the earth shakes as they fall! When dragons go bowling They don't keep a score If it's a strike or a spare they don't care— Let's play once more!
